After spending four years in the airforce during
the second world war, I ended up on the
street wondering what to do next. I spent
a couple of years teaching gymnastics. Soon
I got about learning the sign trade from a
friend. After 30 years of running my own business
in lettering and silk screening, I workded
with the movie industry from 1982 to 1989.
This situation died out a bit so I came to
Nanaimo to help my son in his sign business.
Had some spare time on my hands, so
decided to capture some of the old home
area of the prairies on canvas. The life in
the old homes , the sky lines of the old
elevators and the thunderstorms never
left me. After tackling this area I moved on
to the beautiful scenery of British Columbia
and nver looked back.
